Out for a walk in January. Since I live fairly close to the coast there’s often a good build-up of icecrystals on things outside thanks to the humidity in the air. This was a branch I noticed and I’m always fascinated by the tiny details so I snapped off a quick shot. Using the old 35-70 (which I inherited from my father and which has quickly become my favorite all-round lens) is tricky in macro-mode since even on fairly small apertures the depth of field becomes very shallow. For this shot it means parts of the branch is out of focus, but I think it turned out okay anyways.
