After The Rain

Last night I had to go put a letter in the mailbox. Since it had been raining and I figured the greenery would be all nice saturated colors I decided to bring my camera and my russian 50mm f/2 with me. On a whim, I decided to shove one of my speedlights into my pocket. Just in case.

The short walk to the mailbox and back took about 45 minutes. Normally it would’ve taken at most ten minutes, but I made several stops to goof off with the camera and flash. This is one of those photos. Backlighting leaves always makes them look awesome, in this case I was holding the flash off-camera with my left hand.
